Note: This root cause analysis (RCA) is from real-time scenarios that happened in industries during the tenure of two or three decades ago. These articles will help you to improve your troubleshooting skills and knowledge.

Alternate 110 KV Connection Problem

The State Electricity Board (SEB) had tapped both Feeder-A and Feeder-B from a certain thermal station bus (TSB). This resulted in no power supply to the plant during TSB Maintenance Shutdowns.

The plant had paid a huge sum to provide an alternate connection to Feeder‑A to avoid total electrical outage to the plant. Years rolled on. However, the project remained in the paper only!

The job done finally

During the national internal emergency, the author agreed to loan materials to the board for their rush work, only after completing the plant’s above long overdue project. They did the job this time!

Alternative 110 KV Supply Benefits

Thanks to this, plant gets uninterrupted power even during the TSB maintenance.
